Liang Heng is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tsinghua University, China in 2006 and 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in 2012, all in Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in cooperative navigation and satellite navigation. His current research projects include the design and development of multi-layered countermeasures against GPS/GNSS signal spoofing. Such technology protects phasor measurement units from various spoofing attacks. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) and the Institute of Navigation (ION).
