Educational program to advance electric power microgrid engineering curriculum
TCIPG Illinois researchers Pete Sauer, Alejandro Dominguez-Garcia, and George Gross are part of multi-organization effort to develop a microgrid training program.The group, called the MidAmerica Regional Microgrid Education and Training (MARMET) consortium, will be developing a microgrid training program for traditional and non-traditional settings that combines cutting-edge research and advanced instructional methods. Illinois' focus will be on research of microgrids, which are electrical sources that operate in addition to the local utility company.
