Prosper Panumpabi
Prosper Panumpabi is a Research Engineer in the Information Trust Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has a master’s degree in Power and Energy Systems from the University of Illinois. His areas of interest include Real-Time Digital Simulation of power systems (RTDS), Phasor Measurement Units (PMU), Blackstart of wide-area power grids, and integration of wind generation into the grid. Panumpabi has also worked for the Planning Department of ComEd, for the PowerWorld Company, and for EnXco, and has more than 25 years’ experience working in the electrical power industry and in education. His other immediate focus is on understanding challenges that electrical cooperatives face in their operations and seeing how he can help.
